Rain and Dogs

It's been raining for the last 3 days and not one mention of "Storm Watch 2008", like you would get in So Cal! We have spent the weekend unpacking the last of the boxes and enjoying the ever changing landscape, with the gold, orange and red leaves that seem to appear overnight. With all the rain, everyone has been inside, including the dogs. Mason took this opportunity to enjoy some time with Moose. The dogs are great with him, allowing him to climb all over them, pulling their ears and tails. In fact Mason tried to nibble on Moose's ear...Mason is back to chewing/biting everything, with a 5th tooth coming in.

Baby or mountain goat???

Today Mason was playing quietly in his room, while I finished some laundry. As I walked past his door, I glanced in and found my little baby boy, standing on a chair (child size), not sitting, not kneeling but standing!!! He is so fearless, it scares me. I see many bumps and bruises in our future. So, to date, he has stood on an upside down bucket to reach the TV, a cardboard box to reach something on his book shelf and now a chair. Is he a baby or a mountain goat???

Oh, no picture of him standing on the above objects, my fear of him falling kicked in faster then my desire for a picture.

Umbooga

No Mama or Dada, just Umbooga. Mason's newest word, umbooga And boy does he like it. We are not sure what this word means or what it may change into, but umbooga is the newest word in the house and we are all loving it! Check out the video below.

A First

With Mason getting bigger and more adventurous, I find myself having less time to send photos and respond to or send emails. So, the Mason blog has been born. Here I can update one place and everyone can visit as often as they like. I will do my best to share daily activities and photos, so everyone can stay up on what's new with Mason (and the rest of us).
